He brings a deep combination of leadership, operations, and information technology experience in software-enabled service organizations for highly regulated industries.
Andy has a strong record of product innovation and leadership success, along with broad industry expertise ranging from growth-stage operating entities to large, complex international business units and product lines. Prior to Health e(fx), Andy was an owner and senior partner of the multi-national Wardrop Holdings, Inc., where he co-led, with Eric Tribe, shareholder negotiations in the then-largest acquisition of a private company of its type by a U.S. public firm.
Andy holds an associate degree in engineering and a B.Sc. in international policy and economics.
As Health e(fx) co-founder and Executive Vice President, Operations, Eric brings a rare combination of deep technical expertise, data management prowess, and strategic business management knowledge. Eric understands how to use technology to create superior experiences and results. Leveraging more than 20 years of software, product design, platform development, and management experience, he provides the operational oversight and ongoing process improvement vision for Health e(fx).
Eric’s experience includes management of technical teams and operations responsibilities for national companies across a variety of market sectors, including energy, medical equipment and systems, laboratory and analytical instruments, clinical diagnostics, and health care.
Prior to Health e(fx), Eric was a senior partner and owner of Wardrop Holdings Inc., where he worked alongside Health e(fx) CEO Andy Brown for 15 years. Eric holds a M.Sc. in physics and mathematics with a focus on software modeling techniques in complex systems from the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada.
As co-founder and Executive Vice President, Compliance, Allison brings an in-depth understanding of the significant compliance responsibilities the ACA creates for employers. With firsthand compliance experience as a global HR leader, she is passionate about making state and federal compliance easier for HR teams across the country. Listed by Employee Benefit Adviser as one of 2016’s 25 Most Influential Women in Benefit Advising, Allison is a recognized healthcare reform expert and HR thought leader.
In addition to more than 24 years of leadership expertise in human resources, employee health benefits, insurance, and finance, Allison has been a member of the Retail Industry Leaders Association and involved in the ongoing review of legislative processes, federal agency guidance, and the Affordable Care Act legislation and its impacts on large employer compliance.
She regularly provides expert witness on employer impacts of ACA legislation, including directly with the White House administration, HHS, IRS, Treasury, and members of Congress. As an industry advisor, Allison is informed at the earliest stages regarding proposed health insurance exchange design, development, and modifications.
Prior to Health e(fx), Allison led international HR functions at a 65,000-employee public company and had direct responsibility for employee benefits, payroll, and annual operating budgets in excess of $50M.
Allison holds the CHRS designation and a B.B.A. in accounting and political science from James Madison University.
Cherie, Vice President, Human Resources, is a strategic HR leader and savvy business professional with a breadth of experience across multiple HR disciplines, which she uses to help us shape our Health e(fx) offerings for the better. During her 15-plus years in HR and management, she has led diverse, high profile initiatives in the areas of system implementation, training, performance management, employee relations, benefits, compensation, talent acquisition, organizational design, change management, and compliance.
Prior to Health e(fx), Cherie held leadership roles within a variety of fast-changing and competitive industries, including manufacturing, retail, and insurance. She holds a B.A. in human resource management from Concordia University in St. Paul, Minnesota.
As Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Michael is focused on driving growth through sales of solutions that deliver a simplified path to ACA compliance. Michael promotes a disciplined, customer-centric culture of authenticity, accountability, and excellence within the core sales and marketing functions.
An accomplished industry veteran, Michael is recognized for his strategy, senior-business, and marketing-enterprise leadership with 30-plus years of experience helping companies of all sizes thrive throughout varied industries.
His diverse and challenging experiences have given Michael a broad, holistic view of customer needs within the healthcare industry. As a change agent, he has a proven track record of creating growth for companies in the highly competitive and dynamic healthcare space.
As Chief Marketing Officer of Prime Therapeutics (a pharmacy benefits-management company), Michael drove growth from 11 million to 24 million members in just four years, while achieving an industry-leading member satisfaction rate. He also directed the strategic transition of CIGNA HealthCare from B2B to B2B2C, resulting in sector-leading organic membership growth for three years. In addition, he spearheaded the development of the first CDHC plan for Definity Health (a United Healthcare company), making it the fastest-growing health plan in U.S. history. And, as a managed care consultant for eBenX, he counseled Fortune 500 companies on the design, financing, and implementation of private healthcare exchanges.
Michael is a founding board member of the National Business Group on Health’s Institute on Health Care Costs and Solutions and is a founding sponsor of the Global Knowledge Exchange Network, an organization that works to identify and promote global adoption of promising health system models. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Upper Midwest Chapter of the National MS Society.
